Postnatal Home Help

What is the home maker service?

The journey of motherhood is undoubtedly a beautiful and transformative experience. However, it also comes with its fair share of challenges, especially in the immediate postnatal period. Sometimes this can be a little overwhelming with the demands of taking care of their newborns, recovering from childbirth, and managing the household simultaneously. This is where postnatal home maker services come to the rescue.

Our private postnatal home maker service, is designed to provide practical and emotional support to new parents during the first few weeks or months after childbirth. The aim is to help mothers recover, build confidence, and create a nurturing environment for their newborns. These services are tailored to meet the unique needs of each family.

Are Midwifery Support Workers trained?

Our Midwifery Support Workers (MSWs) provide our home maker service. They are all vetted with DBS enhanced checks. They are all trained to recognise well babies, ill babies and deal with emergency situations. All our MSWs are trained in baby care and feeding support. In all cases, there is a midwife in the background available for help and support if needed.

What sort of services are offered?

Our services are typically offered during the postnatal period from birth to 8 weeks. However, can will always try to meet your needs if we can. Need antenatal support? Let us know. Need sibling child care for labour? We may be able to offer that too. Need support after 8 weeks – give us a call.
